Events
The California Association of Meat Processors Cured Meat Championships is one of the highlights of our annual conventions. The contest is the only state event of its kind in California. Each year, some of the top meat processors in the country enter their best products in a total of 29 categories, including snack sticks, jerky, bacon, sausages and several varieties of ham.
Entries are evaluated by judges comprised of meat science academia and industry representatives along with fellow processor judges. This evaluation provides information for product enhancement that could result in greater sales and business opportunities.
Any processor member of the California Association of Meat Processors that produces their own products, and is a registered attendee for the convention, may enter products into the contest. If you are joining us in Chico. CA during the 2025 Convention on February 21st-23rd you are welcome to enter some of your products into this year's event.

—NEW VENUE UPDATE—
We wanted to inform you of a recent change regarding our 2026 CAMP Convention. Unfortunately, our original venue, Vet’s Hall, has cancelled on us and will no longer be available.
With that said, we are pleased to announce that all convention activities—including training sessions, seminars, the President’s Party, and meals—will now be held at the Officers Club of San Luis Obispo.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we’re confident the Officers Club will provide a great setting for our event. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
You will need to show your id at the gate...as they will have a list of names per your registration.

Head towards Grove Street
Turn Right onto California Blvd
Use the 2nd from the left lane to turn left onto Foothill Blvd
Turn right onto CA1 N/N Santa Rosa St
From the Intersection of Santa Rosa (HWY1 and Foothill, the entrance to CAMP San Luis Obispo is approximately 4.3 miles.
You will pass California Men’s Colony on your right. You will pass Kansas Ave. (Sheriffs Department) on your left.
When you see the sign “Camp San Luis Obispo ¼ miles” immediately watch for the left turn pocket.
Yield to oncoming traffic and turn in at the uppermost end of the median divider. You will see the guard station at the entrance.
Enter the post, turn immediately left onto San Joaquin Ave (drive until road ends)
turn left onto Kern Ave, continue under the highway to Napa or Santa Clara
turn left. Napa ends, turn left for the Officer’s Club
Santa Clara ends at the Officers Club.

Go back out to Hwy 1, head towards San Luis Obispo (right on hwy 1)
Go approx.. 3 miles and turn left onto Stenner Creek Rd
