Events

The California Association of Meat Processors Cured Meat Championships is one of the highlights of our annual conventions. The contest is the only state event of its kind in California. Each year, some of the top meat processors in the country enter their best products in a total of 29 categories, including snack sticks, jerky, bacon, sausages and several varieties of ham.

Entries are evaluated by judges comprised of meat science academia and industry representatives along with fellow processor judges. This evaluation provides information for product enhancement that could result in greater sales and business opportunities.

Any processor member of the California Association of Meat Processors that produces their own products, and is a registered attendee for the convention, may enter products into the contest. If you are joining us in Chico. CA during the 2025 Convention on February 21st-23rd you are welcome to enter some of your products into this year's event.
